An Egyptian Death Certificate may be needed to establish
a death for inheritance, estate administration and
official procedures overseas. ANGLO–NILE assists families
of Egyptian and foreign nationals who died in Egypt.
We assess whether the existing civil record can be
retrieved or further registration steps are required.

01
Egyptian Nationals
For Egyptian citizens who died in Egypt, an
existing registration may allow a certificate
to be requested through the competent civil
registry. Eligible relatives abroad can arrange
a case assessment and appoint a representative
where the authority accepts representation.
-
02
Foreign Nationals
Families of British and other foreign nationals
who died in Egypt may need official documentation
for probate, insurance or estate matters abroad.
We assess the available registration, identify
the relevant issuing authority and coordinate
the application according to the case.

Historical and Unregistered Deaths
Where an older death entry cannot be found,
we first assess the available evidence and
possible record searches. A missing computerised
result does not prove the death was unregistered.
Where no registration exists, we consider the
appropriate Saqit Qayd Wafah (late death
registration) procedure and any further evidence
the authorities may require.
For documents intended for use outside Egypt,
authentication requirements should be checked
separately from the certificate application.
The
Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official authentication guidance
specifically includes death certificates among
the civil-status documents that may require
preliminary approval before ministry authentication.
Clients in the UK and worldwide can request assistance
obtaining death records from abroad, beginning with a
document review and written service agreement. Where
needed, we prepare a purpose-specific Power of Attorney
and coordinate with Egyptian-qualified lawyers. We
explain the procedure, documentation and agreed fees
before work begins.
